General Remarks
2nd Joint Student Workshop on Mechatronics ( 2 nd JSWM ) will be held at Harbin Engineering University and Changchun Uni versity of Science and Technology , China, from September 16 ( Tues day) to September 22 ( Monday ), 200 8 . 2 nd JSWM Organizing Committee invite s Changchun Uni versity of Science and Technology , Harbin Engineering University and Kagawa University interested in mechatronic researches to participate in this workshop.
The Workshop will offer opportunities for all the participants to exchange information and views on a variety of technical and scientific topics as well as on China -Japan general status of these fields. Also it will offer an introduction corner for each university. Topics

Paper Submission and Presentations
Each presentation will be oral and assigned 15 minutes inclusive of time for questions and discussions. Please be aware that a general "no paper - no presentation" policy will be in effect. This means that only the authors that submit a preprint will be allowed to present a paper at the Workshop. All of the presented papers will be published in the proceeding.
The authors of papers accepted will be invited to attend 2 nd JSWM . The working language will be English.
All papers must be submitted in PDF format prepared strictly following the IEEE PDF Requirements for Creating PDF Documents by online to http://biomecha.eng.kagawa-u.ac.jp/jswm/ by August 1, 200 8 .
